The Bhrigu Lake Trek is a breathtaking high-altitude adventure in Himachal Pradesh, starting near Manali. Located at around 14,100 feet, this glacial lake is steeped in mythology and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The trek is around 20 km long and typically completed in 2–3 days, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced trekkers. It offers changing landscapes — from lush meadows and dense oak forests to alpine ridges and rocky paths. Bhrigu Lake is famous for its changing colors and reflection of the sky, even in summer. On clear days, you can witness panoramic views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. The meadows here rival those of Kashmir, earning it the nickname “Mini Switzerland.” Camping under the stars and catching the sunrise by the lake is an experience you’ll never forget.
Full Trek Details
We drive 15 Kms up the Manali-Rohtang Highway to the meadows of Gulaba. The views of the upper Kullu valley from here are quite spectacular. The trail goes eastwards and climbs steadily through forests. We walk slowly as the altitude can make you a little breathless. We cross a mountain stream and then keep climbing till we cross a mountain ridge beyond which lies the Bhrighu Lake at an altitude of 4270m. We reach this beautiful lake by late afternoon and set up camp.
We spend the day at leisure taking in the magnificent mountain views all around. Camp overnight on the lake shore.
Today leaving the lake we walk across a small meadow and climbing up to a mountain ridge begin our steep descent to the village of Vashisht in the upper Kullu valley. The descent offers great views of the entire Kullu valley and we walk though forests and slowly emerge into apple orchards and finally reach Vashisht by evening. From here Manali is just 3 Kms away.

Full Trek Details
Travel from Delhi to Chandigarh by train. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Later in the day, explore Chandigarh’s well-planned architecture, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake, and the unique Rock Garden.
Drive through the scenic Himalayan foothills to reach Bir, a peaceful Tibetan town known for paragliding and monasteries. Check in at a hotel and explore the surroundings.
Begin the trek from Bir to Billing. This is a relatively easy 8 km hike through pine forests and rolling meadows. Billing is also a world-famous paragliding site. Overnight stay in tents under the stars.
Today’s trail is moderately inclined and leads to the charming village of Rajgundha. Enjoy views of lush valleys, traditional Himachali houses, and mountain streams. Camp overnight in the meadows.
Ascend steadily through oak and deodar forests toward Palachak. The route becomes more remote, with fewer signs of habitation. Overnight stay in a campsite near the forest line.
The terrain becomes rugged, and the trail follows a river upstream. Trek through alpine terrain with rhododendron bushes and rocky paths. Camp at Panihartu, a scenic spot surrounded by towering peaks.
This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. You’ll cross Thamsar Pass, the highest point of the route. Expect snowfields and cold winds at the top. The descent into Udag is steep but offers incredible panoramic views. Overnight at Udag campsite.
A relatively short descent leads you to the isolated village of Bara Bhangal, home to shepherd communities. This area remains cut off from the outside world for much of the year. Camp here and experience authentic Himalayan village life.
This is a long and demanding descent, moving from highland terrain into deeper valleys. The trail can be narrow and slippery in parts. Trekking poles recommended. Overnight camp at Dhardi.
Trek down to Nayagran village in Chamba. The landscape becomes greener and more populated. Once you reach, transfer to a hotel for a comfortable stay and hot shower.
Enjoy a beautiful drive to the colonial hill station of Dalhousie. Rest in a hotel and explore the town if time permits.
Drive to Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama. The scenery includes forests, monasteries, and the backdrop of the Dhauladhar range. Hotel stay.
Visit local attractions like Bhagsu Falls, Namgyal Monastery, McLeod Ganj market, and Dal Lake. Relax and enjoy the Tibetan vibes. Overnight at the hotel.
Conclude your journey with a scenic drive or domestic flight to Delhi. Option to relax or continue onward travel.

The route follows the ridge of the Jailor range and has the most spectacular view in all directions. The West Himalayas are at the best, range after range in the distance. Night stay at karnag Camp.
Emerging from the oak and rhododendron wood at the village of Kot, there is a charming temple. Reach Chowai and night stay at camp. 6000ft.

This is a well defined and an easy trek which through Dhararmkot and Galu Temple to Triund This is one the best Trekking route which gains a height of about 1000 mts. Triund is also known as the base for the trekkers who take on the route over INDRAHAR pass to Bharmour.
And back to Ilaka got a beautiful trekking trail. There is trekkers hunt at Hakagot which can be used for an overnight stay Inderhara pass is between moon peak and camel peak. You can see the kailashpeak [height- 5656] from this pass. Same way back to Ilaka got.
This trek passes through a dense forest of mixed variety leopards and bears are often sighted as they abound in these forest. At Guna Temple there is a small temple of kali and place to stay where water and electricity is available.

Morning visit to Manu Temple (2200 m). Evening at village school site. Moderate ascent. Distance: 23 kms.
Strenuous ascent in early morning (3600 m). Pass through Kandi Galu notch (3627m). Distance 17 kms.
Relatively easy hike passing through birch forests and meadows. Distance 6 kms.
Beautiful meadow surrounded by steep mountain valleys and flowing Jiwanala River. Peaceful and good place to rest after long hike from Subli.
Day hike up to Surtu Glacial Pond in Khandedhar with dramatic mountain backdrops. Opportunities for wildlife observation including Brown Bear, Snow Leopard, etc. Distance: 20 kms. round trip.
Very strenuous day. Crossing Phangchi Galu Pass (4636 m) below Khandedhar into Parvarti Valley. Continuous steep ascent over rock scree,boulders, and very narrow paths into high alpine meadows, then higher lichen environments. Can be cold and windy. Descent from Phangchi Galu can have deep snow pack and should be done with great care as steepdrops and potentially very dangerous. Sublime peace at the higher elevations. Stressful on knees coming down! Distance: 23 kms.
Easier descent back into forests and meadows, ending at village of Pulga. Distance: 18 kms.

7 T0 8 HRS drive from Shimla. enroute you will encounter Narkanda. A winter Ski resort and Rampur the old capital of Kinnaur. Upon arrival at Sarahan visit Bhimakali temple sacred to both Hindu and Buddhists.
6 to 7 hrs drive Sangla is also known as baspa valley os one of the most beautiful valley in Kinnaur. In Sangla visit Kamru fort
5 to 6 hrs.drive. Kafnoo is the starting point for the trek.
5 to 6 hrs trek through Musrang village and Jungle. First couple of hours involves steep climb and then gradual climb up to the camp site, a green meadow on the bank of Bawa river.
Again 5 to 6hrs walk to the campsite the base of the Bawa pass. Today s walk involves a small river crossing and a gradual climb.
Today it is a long of about 7 to 8 hrs. First two hours is a steep climb to the top bawa pass 14500ft. approx. As soon as you cross the pass one enters pin valley. the land of snow Leopard and Ibex in Spiti. you will also see a dramatic change in the scenery.
Again 4 to 5 hrs. easy walk. Enroute you pass through Tiling village and camp at Guling village. If you have enough time you could visit Guling Monastery which is of Nyingma pa sect of Buddism.
Today the bus will take you to schiling. the camp site. Have your hot lunch at the camp and then proceed to see the Tabo monatery which belong to Gelukpa sect. This monastery has completed its 1000 years in 1996 and His Holiness the dalai Lama had given kalachakra initiation to commemorate its 1000th year.
Drive to Shego on the bank of Spiti river. After lunch drive to visit Key Monastery, the seat of Rinchen Zangpo. And then visit Kibber village the highest road linked village in the world. also visit a small monastery in the village.
Today you have a day free to explore the Kaza town is only 6 Kms. away from the camp site. worth paying a visit.
Drive 125 kms.to reach the campsite over Kunzum- La 14850ft. approx
Drive along the river Chandra till grampu and then towards Manali over Rohtang pass 13050ft. In manali check into the Hotel for o/n/ stay.
