The journey begins with a scenic two-hour drive from Manali to Jobra (9,800 ft). From here, the trek starts with a gradual walk through dense forests of pine, maple, and birch, leading to Chika (10,100 ft), a beautiful meadow surrounded by mountains and a flowing stream. The day ends with setting up camp and enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars.
The trail continues along the Rani Nallah stream, crossing lush green valleys and boulder-strewn landscapes. Trekkers navigate small river crossings before reaching Balu Ka Ghera (11,900 ft), a vast sandy riverbank campsite known for its breathtaking views of Indrasan Peak. The night is spent here, preparing for the next day’s challenging climb.
The most challenging day of the trek begins with a steep ascent towards Hampta Pass (14,100 ft). rrive at Haridwar or Rishikesh, the gateway towns to the trek. Both locations are well-connected by train and road. You can spend the day relaxing and acclimatizing. In Rishikesh, visit the iconic Ganga Aarti or explore the spiritual ambiance. If you arrive in Haridwar, don’t miss the chance to see the famous Har Ki Pauri ghat. Stay overnight in a local guesthouse or hotel.
Begin your drive early in the morning, as it takes around 9-10 hours to reach Joshimath, situated at an altitude of 1,890 meters. The journey offers beautiful views of the Himalayan landscape. You will travel through towns like Devprayag, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag. Arrive in Joshimath by evening, check into your accommodation, and rest for the night.
After breakfast, drive to Govindghat, which is approximately 30 minutes away from Joshimath. From Govindghat, begin your 13 km trek to Ghangaria, a small village that serves as the base for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib trek. The trek takes about 4-6 hours, with scenic views of the Alaknanda River, lush forests, and cascading waterfalls. Arrive in Ghangaria, check into your stay, and rest for the night.
After an early breakfast, embark on the trek to the Valley of Flowers, approximately 3-4 km from Ghangaria. The trek offers breathtaking views of alpine meadows, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Spend a few hours exploring the valley, renowned for its vibrant wildflowers and rich biodiversity. After soaking in the beauty, return to Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
For those interested in spirituality and culture, today’s trek will take you to Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine situated at an altitude of 4,632 meters. The 6 km trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib is challenging but offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glacial lakes. After spending some time at the shrine, descend back to Ghangaria for the night.
After breakfast, descend back to Govindghat from Ghangaria. The trek down is easier, taking around 4-5 hours. Once at Govindghat, drive back to Joshimath, where you can relax and rest for the night.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Haridwar or Rishikesh. The drive will take approximately 9-10 hours, depending on road conditions. Upon arrival, you can relax, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy some last-minute sightseeing before departing.
Depending on your schedule, you can head back home from Haridwar or Rishikesh after breakfast.

Reach Banjar from Manali by road 97 Kms and from here another road for Bathad via Gushani village. Gushani loacated on the confluence of river Tirthan and palchan nullah is a picturesque village. Over night at the camp. 4-5 hrs drive.
after B/F trek start to Bathad village. It takes 4 hrs to reach the Bathad village. Bathad offers a comfortable camping site. Camp near the village.
Though slightly long, it is an enjoyable trek gradually traversing green fields and thick forests. Bashelo Pass which is located on tree line divide Beas and Sutlej valleys, The panoramic view on both sides is breathtaking. camp near the pass. Walking hrs. 4-5
From Beshleo Pass the desent upto the village Kullu- Sarahan 3 kms is through thick mixed forests and is well demarcated. From the top this village can be very easily spotted. 4-5 hrs walking time.
From Kullu Sarahan a comfortable bridal trek through small hamlets and cultivated fields leads to Arsu . the trek will be end here Arsu. From Arsu Taxi will be pickup for Rampur or Shimla. Overnight at Hotel. Walking time 3-4 hrs.

Manali drive to Kaza over Kunzum Pass (4551meters) Over night Camp
Morning after breakfast drive (32 km) to Mikkim (3087 mt.) via Gulling. Visit kungri monastery. Later on drive to Mud village (3900 mt). on arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.
After breakfast, start the first day of trek (5-6 hours) by crossing the Pin River foot bridge. Trek continues following the right bank of Pin River. Cross Shian village enroute. Further 01 hr is a beautiful and large camping area. Continue trekking till the Pin river takes left turn. Camp at small green camping place (4100 mt.). The valley towards right leads to Pin-Parvati Pass and to the left to Bhaba Pass. Overnight stay in the tented camp.
Morning after early breakfast start trek (7-8 hours) towards Bhaba Pass. The trek is gentle climb in the begning through the morains and snow/ice patches. Closer to pass the climb is steep and sometime sleepry on loose screes. Trek climb-up towards left to the pass (4950 mt.). The descends steeply on the other side of the pass till the valley opens up at Pistrang. Setup camp (4100 mt) on the banks of Wanger River for overnight stay. The valley is greener as compared to valley on Spiti side. Overnight stay in tented camp.
After breakfast start the down trek (4-5 hours) to Mulling following the Wanger River on bank. after 1 hrs the valley opens up and makes T shapes with another valley in the front. Trek takes right turn here and continue trekking after crossing a stream 2-3 times. After another 01 hr the route takes left turn and crosses the Wanger by a natural rock bridge. The valley becomes more green and forested. Continue walking further to the open flat ground and camp there for overnight stay.
Morning after breakfast walk (3-4 hours) through the forest area following the Wanger River on left bank. The route is heavily forested with pine, cedar, and birch. Reach Kafnu, the last road head in the valley. On arrival board the coach and drive (4 hours) to Kalpa (2900 mt.). Check-into Tourist Bungalows/ Tented camp for overnight stay.
After breakfast drive (85 km) to Sarahan. On arrival check-into hotel. In the afternoon visit the famous Hindu Temple of Goddess Kali - Bhimkali Temple and bird breeding centre in Sarahan. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning after breakfast drive (185 km) to Shimla via Narkanda which is famous for its 360º view of the Indian Himalayas. Arrive and check into hotel. Rest of day at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay in hotel.

Full Trek Details
Start your journey early in the morning from Manali around 8:00 AM. Drive towards Kullu, a scenic 40 km route that runs alongside the Beas River offering beautiful mountain views. From Kullu, continue towards Chansari Village, which lies about 15 km uphill and serves as the base point of the Bijli Mahadev trek. On the way, you can optionally stop at Kullu Market or the river rafting point for a quick experience or refreshment.
By late afternoon, reach the base camp near Chansari. Settle into your campsite or a cozy guesthouse, where you can relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Himachali dinner by the bonfire under the stars. Overnight stay will be at the campsite or guesthouse near the trek start point.
Wake up early to the fresh mountain air, have a warm breakfast, and begin the trek to Bijli Mahadev Temple. The trek is approximately 3 to 4 km one way and takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete, depending on your pace. The trail is moderately easy, with occasional steep patches and offers sweeping panoramic views of the Kullu Valley throughout.
Upon reaching the temple, situated at an altitude of 2,460 meters, take some time to rest, explore the area, and enjoy the 360° view of the surrounding Parvati, Kullu, and Bhuntar valleys.
